We’re glad to announce that our large assortment of powders for welding, hardfacing and friction just got even more well-assorted. After thorough testing Metal Powder Group now can offer chromium carbide.
Chromium carbide has an exceptionally good abrasive wear resistance and when used for hardfacing, the material will become several times harder than regular steel. It also improves the fill ratio in flux cored wires and works as a space saver as well as helps reducing the flux core wire diameter where there are requirements of lower current, resulting in minimal thermal distortion.
